Len, 64, was born in Brooklyn, NYC, in 1962 and raised in the borough of Queens until 1985, when he enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces. He proudly served in the elite 10th Mountain Division-Cohort Unit Special Forces, then trained at the tough US Army Ranger School.
