~ len spadaro - (my story) ~
Len Spadaro, 63, was born in Brooklyn, NYC, in 1962 and raised in the borough of Queens until 1985, when he enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces. He proudly served in the elite 10th Mountain Division-Cohort Unit Special Forces, then trained at the tough US Army Ranger School. He is an Army veteran of the pre-Desert Storm (Iraq) Era, serving proudly under the 2nd Reagan Administration.
Raised in a loving but spiritually divided home—with a devoted, Born-Again Christian mother and an agnostic, skeptical, and often God-hating father—Len began his early life walking faithfully with the Lord. Throughout his childhood and high school years, he lived as a passionate Christian, even performing as a semi-professional teen singer and playing saxophone and drums in church and Christian bands. He was beloved by his family, friends, and fans.
But as the world pressed in and temptation took hold, Len tragically backslid and fell badly and deeply into sin. Through some of the early '80's and then again from 1990 through 2011-12, he plunged into the darkest depths of misery and destruction—battling multiple drug addictions to heroin, cocaine, crack-cocaine, prescription medications, and alcohol. His life was marked by domestic violence, crime sprees, repeated jail times, and an utterly shattered family. At his lowest point of misery, he faced crushing despair and suicidal thoughts, consumed by hopelessness, spiritual warfare, crippling brokenness and emotional devastation.
Yet, in the fall of 2012, everything gloriously and miraculously changed. With nowhere left to fall, and fully broken in body, mind and spirit, Len encountered, again, the radical, redeeming love and healing power of Jesus Christ he had known as a boy and his teenage years. In a moment of miraculous transformation, he surrendered his life to the Only One who could truly heal him. Yes, through it all, God NEVER let go!
Jesus led him back, again, to His timeless, scriptural “Self-Help Blueprint” of love, peace, mercy, grace, and salvation—a path freely given to all of humanity by Him, nearly 2,000 years ago on the Cross.
Since then, Len has become a Christian Self-Help Counselor, Christian Living Instructor, and a Spiritually Inspired Author. His divine calling is to guide others toward that same healing path—the miracle-working plan of redemption and restoration found only in Jesus Christ. Through his powerful testimony and biblically based guidance, Len has helped scores of individuals overcome addiction, depression, suicides, despair, and spiritual brokenness. He presently resides in Northeastern, NC., since 2018.
